Indicated Machine Adjustable Vise Hard Stop

Position the stop where your setup needs it.

The Indicated Machine Adjustable Vise Hard Stop provides an adjustable reference for positioning repeat workpieces. Designed and machined in our Kentucky shop, it combines a vise-mounted base, adjustable arm, and stop rod in one assembly.

Adjust it for the job

  • Three-way adjustment: position the mounting plate, arm, and stop rod to bring the contact point to the workpiece.
  • Ambidextrous setup: arrange the stop for use on either side of a compatible vise.
  • Mechanical mounting: fasten the assembly to the rear of the stationary jaw.
  • Repeat workpiece positioning: establish a reference for loading successive parts in the same setup.

6-inch mounting reference

  • Two mounting holes on 3.875-inch centers (98.425 mm).
  • 1/2-13 UNC vise threads.
  • Kurt DX6 published hole center height: 0.940 inch above the vise bed.

Kurt DX6 inch models and the Haas HKDX6 use this reference pattern. Glacern GSV-690, GPV-615, GPV-615R, and TMX 3-220-0068 also have matching published nominal spacing and threads. This is mounting-pattern information; physical fit of this stop on each model must be verified.

Check rear-face clearance, usable thread depth, mounting hardware, and stop reach for your exact vise. The Glacern GPV-615R has a reversed fixed-jaw position. Haas 05-0002 uses M12 × 1.75 threads and requires different screws.

Load two smaller parts with two stop arms

The mounting base supports an arm on each end. Add a second arm to give two smaller workpieces their own adjustable locating stops when loading them side by side in one single-station vise.

The standard $199.99 kit includes one arm. Additional arm assemblies are sold individually. Vise and workpieces are not included.
